The Trailblazer

Heading north from Anchorage, we'll have a day to hike and canoe before arriving at Denali National Park for a three night stay. We'll have plenty of time to see the park and also mountain bike the Stampede Trail and kayak on the Nenana River. We'll fly into the Talkeetna Mountains for an exciting three day raft trip on the Talkeetna River. It is a perfect blend of wilderness, scenery, wildlife and whitewater, including a 10 to 14 mile set of nonstop class IV whitewater through the Talkeetna Canyon. This is considered by many as Alaska's premier rafting experience.

We'll put on crampons for a guided hike on the Kennicott Glacier. Optional highlights during our stay include ice climbing, mountain biking and scenic flights. From Valdez we travel by boat for a two day kayak adventure among the icebergs in Prince William Sound. We fly by float plane to Cordova where we can watch Childs Glacier calve into the Copper River.
